CapitalSEO is run by Khalid Mohamed in Ottawa, Ontario. This page explains what personal information the site collects, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. Questions or requests: hello@capitalseo.ca.

What we collect

When you request a free audit, we collect your name, your email address and your website address. With the request we also record the date and time, your IP address, the country it points to, and your browser type. We use these to spot spam and abuse.

When you email us, we keep the email and your reply address so we can answer.

When you browse the site, we count visits with Vercel Web Analytics: which pages are viewed, the site that sent you here, and your country and type of device. It doesn't use cookies and doesn't identify you personally. We don't use advertising trackers. Our hosting provider also keeps standard server logs (such as IP address, page requested and time) to run and protect the site.

Why we use it

  • To prepare your audit and send it to you.
  • To reply to you about the audit or our services, if you ask.
  • To keep the form free of spam and misuse.

We don't sell or rent your information, and we don't add you to a mailing list.

The audit itself

The audit looks at the public pages of the website you send us, the same way a search engine would. It doesn't log in to anything or look at private areas of your site.

Who handles it for us

  • Microsoft 365 delivers and stores our email, including audit requests.
  • Vercel hosts this website, runs the audit form and counts visits.

These providers may process information outside Canada, including in the United States, where it can be subject to local laws.

How long we keep it

We keep audit requests and related emails for 12 months, then delete them, unless you become a client. Client records are kept for as long as we work together and as long as the law requires after that.

Your choices

You can ask to see the information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. Email hello@capitalseo.ca and we'll respond within 30 days. If you're not satisfied with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
